Hallo, ich bin auf der Suche nach einer detaillierten Biographie von Sigismond Mathias Quasdanovich Was ich bisher ueber diesen Herren finden konnte: +++++ QUASDANOVICH, Sigismond Mathias (quas-dah-no-vitch'), Hungarian explorer, born in Buda in 1742; died in Vienna, Austria, in 1796. He received his education in Vienna, and was afterward assistant professor of botany in the university of that city. In 1784 he was sent to the West Indies and South America, and, obtaining from Charles III., after some difficulties, permission to enter the Spanish dominions, he explored for three years Cuba, Porto Rico, Jamaica, and Santo Domingo. He went afterward to Guiana, and returned in 1789 to Vienna with important botanical collections, which he presented to the Academy of sciences. Among his works are "Reise dutch Guiana" (Vienna, 1790); " Beschreibung der Insel Cuba" (1791); "Hundert Tage auf Reisen in Porto Rico" (1791) ; .... Guiana Skizzen" (1792) ; " Geschichte und Zustende der Indianer in Guiana" (1793) ; "Institutiones regni vegetabilis" (1794); and " Historia generalis plantarum Americanarum" (3 vols., 1795). +++++ Wenn mir hier jemand weiterhelfen koennte, waere ich sehr dankbar.
